TO COMMUNE Gatherings

The best way to engage with this year’s films is in communion.

Between June 27 and July 21, groups will engage with one or more Seminar programs in self-organised gatherings around the world. The Flaherty is supporting the facilitation of this shared, informal experience.

The gatherings are free, or by donation to the host venue. All participants are encouraged to register for the Online Experience for access to the full online program and materials. We are offering a discounted rate to all gathering attendees, especially those with low income, and to those who will offer an in-kind contribution to their group (for example: snacks or beverages for the group.)

This year’s international gatherings are informal – a means to share the brilliant work of our 2024 programmers and artists accompanied by the Seminar’s longstanding tradition of deep discussion. We are excited for people to gather, watch, debate, make connections, and share.

We hope you will participate in our post-Seminar survey, so that we can continue to build on the de-centered, international, and accessible Seminar model for years to come.
