The Campus at Marlboro Music — Marlboro, Vermont
On-Campus Housing
The Campus at Marlboro Music sits on a rocky hilltop between Brattleboro and Wilmington, off Route 9, and includes 560 acres of early 19th-century farmhouses, academic buildings, scenic fields, hiking trails, and forest. Residence halls are spread across the central campus, all within walking distance of the screening venue and dining hall.
Your room: Each participant will have their own private, single bedroom. Unless otherwise requested, there will be no shared rooms. Every single bedroom is furnished with a twin XL bed, dresser, desk, chair, and desk lamp. Mattresses are firm and waterproof. If you prefer a softer sleeping surface, we recommend bringing a mattress topper.
Residence Halls and room types are assigned by the Flaherty upon registration - Participants do not have the option to select their Residence Hall.
Bathrooms: Everyone staying on campus will share a bathroom with at least one other person. In most cases, and unless otherwise noted, this involves a shared dorm-style bathroom, which means leaving your bedroom and accessing the shared bathroom through the hallway. There are no single bathrooms in the residences. Bathrooms will be assigned by the gender preferences participants elect during Registration. For full visualization of the bathroom layouts, see images in the individual Residence Hall section below.
Commuter Accommodations
If you are registered as a Commuter, here are the closest lodging options to campus:
Whetstone Inn: The closest option to campus, just up South Road from the Seminar. A charming Vermont inn with pastoral views. Visit whetstoneinn.com or contact them directly to book.
Colonel Williams Inn: the second-closest option. Recessed on nine acres overlooking a pond, with 12 rooms and beautiful views. Visit colonelwilliamsinn.com or contact them directly to book.
IMPORTANT: October is prime fall foliage season in Vermont, and accommodations book up well ahead of time for this popular time of year. Commuters are strongly advised to book their accommodations well in advance.
