In collaboration with The Fine Arts Faculty of the University of Lisbon (FBAUL), IPLUSO - ECIA Higher School of Communication, Innovation and Arts, and The Laboratory of Cinema and Philosophy (IFILNOVA, NOVA-FCSH), the Lisbon Pod will present the Seminar’s film programs alongside in-depth discussions with film scholars and artists.

Organized in collaboration with the Center for Ethnographic Media Arts and USC School of Cinematic Arts, the Los Angeles Pod will feature Seminar screenings alongside facilitated conversations with artists and media professionals, creating a space for critical discourse and cross-disciplinary exchange.

The L.A. Pod will also include special local programming curated to complement the Seminar’s themes.

Hosted by Escola Superior Artística do Porto and Batalha Centro de Cinema, the Porto Pod will feature daily programs and guided discussions led by curators, artists, and scholars. This Pod offers an opportunity for participants to engage with the Flaherty Seminar in a historic cinema setting, fostering a vibrant exchange of ideas.

All programs will be presented with Portuguese subtitles.

Hosted by the Thai Film Archive, the Salaya Pod provides a unique opportunity for local audiences to engage with the Seminar through screenings, discussions, and facilitated conversations.

Screenings will be subtitled in Thai, and discussions will be led by regional curators and scholars.

Partnering with CFMDC at Cinecycle, the Toronto Pod will offer a mix of screenings, discussions, and artist-led engagements. Complementary local programming will enhance the Seminar experience, deepening connections between international and regional cinema.

Partnering with the Faculty of Modern Languages- University of Warsaw, Cultural Center for Modern Art - Ujazdowski Castle and AMATOR Film and Education Association, the Warsaw Pod will present the Seminar’s daily film programs. Discussions will be facilitated by film scholars and local curators, providing deep engagement with the Pod program. The Warsaw Pod will also include special local programming curated to complement the Seminar’s themes.

Programs will be presented with Polish subtitles.
